Rutgers basketball: Future opponent loses star player from N.J. indefinitely for mysterious reason

Rutgers may not face Aaron Bradshaw this season after all.
The former Camden star was listed as out in the pregame availability report for Ohio State’s meeting with Campbell on Friday night, and the school released a statement saying he is “not currently participating in team activities.” Bradshaw remains listed on the team’s roster, but the Buckeyes did not clarify how long he will be out.
Rutgers faces Ohio State at Value City Arena in Columbus on Saturday, December 7th, in a matchup that opens Big Ten play for both programs. It is unclear if Bradshaw will be available to participate in the contest.
“The university is following its established process,” the statement read. “Due to federal privacy laws, we cannot share further information at this time.”
The 7-1 center started the first four games of the season for Ohio State, where he transferred this offseason following his freshman year at Kentucky. Bradshaw is averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 23.8 minutes per game this season.
He averaged 4.9 points on 57.6% shooting (28.6% on threes), 3.3 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 13.8 minutes per game across 26 appearances for the Wildcats last winter.
Bradshaw was a key member of the Camden boys basketball team that ended the program’s 22-year state championship drought in controversial fashion during the 2021-22 season.
